You’re just about to go into that meeting. You’re quickly looking at the meeting slides you got last week, asking yourself “What am I going to say about the project?” Avoid getting yourself into this panic situation.

Even if you’re not actually presenting anything in the meeting, taking 15-30 minutes in advance to prepare your thoughts will help you feel much more comfortable about participating.

Apply the ACE Formula:

  • A for Agenda: What do I know about the agenda items?
  • C for Contribution: What would I like to contribute on this item?
  • E for Effect: Does this item have an effect on me or my department?

The ACE Formula will help you feel a lot more confident and increase your assertiveness during meetings you contribute to. Master these skills in EnglishBooster’s upcoming TAKE TO THE FLOOR workshop. Click here to learn more.
